Winter travels and a new temporary studio location

In January of 2014, I will be taking some time away from my Chicago healing practice for travel, education, and adventure. My plan is to spend the winter months in warmer climates volunteering on organic farms and learning about the practice of organic bee-keeping.

Bee-keeping? Yes! Recently, I have been moved and inspired to work with the honeybee and explore the practice of more sustainable living. The honeybee, as many of you may have heard, is experiencing an unprecedented decline in population and health.  This is tragic for many reasons, perhaps not the least of which is the fact that the honeybee plays a vital role in the pollination of our land and the foods we as humans depend on. This is not an isolated issue, but one that calls into question many of our established ways of living and being on this planet. Perhaps I will write more about this issue in the future.

But, for now, it looks like I will be leaving for the Hawaiian islands sometime in January. I don”t yet have a return flight scheduled.  I will be sharing updates and pictures from my travels on this blog, and let you know when I have a better sense of my return to Chicago.

For those of you who have gift certificates and deals (Groupon, Yelp, etc.) of any kind, they will absolutely be valid for use when I return.  If you have a Groupon that expires on Dec 20th or 21st of 2013, please read this:  Expiring Groupons
